Two Sustain Serious Injuries in Crash at Sutton and Rogers Tuesday Night

Raisin Twp., MI – Two people sustained serious injuries in a two vehicle crash at the intersection of Sutton Road and Rogers Highway, in Raisin Township Tuesday night.

Police Chief Kevin Grayer said that officers were dispatched to the crash at around 9:30pm, and upon arrival officers found 2 vehicles badly damaged.

It is believed that a 1998 Nissan Altima was traveling eastbound on Sutton Road and failed to stop for the stop sign, striking a 2008 Chevrolet Tahoe that was traveling southbound on Rogers Highway.

Both driver and passenger of the Nissan were injured in the crash and transported to out of county hospitals with serious injuries. Police say that the driver of the Tahoe was unable to avoid the collision, and both the driver and passenger were believed to have minor injuries.

Involvement of alcohol or drugs is unknown, and the incident remains under investigation.

The Raisin Township Police Department was assisted at the scene by the Raisin Township Fire Department, Tecumseh Police Department, Lenawee County Sheriff Office, Michigan State Police, Lenawee Community Ambulance, Tecumseh Fire Department, and City of Adrian Fire Department.
