Adrian, MI – Mammoth Distilling is seriously considering purchasing City-of-Adrian-owned property to build a distillery.
The property on North M-52, commonly referred to as the Witt Farm, is the piece of land that the company is talking about. The company said during the Adrian City Commission Pre-Meeting Study Session Tuesday night that they would not only be constructing a distilling facility…but also building large barns to store product.
Mammoth Distilling was looking at property in the City of Adrian Industrial Park, but the space was deemed too small for their entire operation… explained City Administrator Greg Elliott…
Elliott said the sale price for the Witt Farm would be “nominal”…
So what are the next steps to get the sale done? Administrator Elliott said that those steps could happen as soon as the Commission’s next meeting in two weeks…
Mammoth Distilling has a bar, and store, on East Maumee Street in downtown Adrian…and they have locations in Traverse City, Bellaire, Bay Harbor, and Central Lake.
