Adrian, MI – A resident in the Maple Woods Manufactured Home Community was found unconscious inside the home during a house fire on the night of January 1st.
At around 7:51pm, Adrian City Fire Department was dispatched, along with Madison and Adrian Township Fire Departments, for the fire…according to a news release by the Adrian City Fire Department.
Upon arrival, firefighters were advised the resident was possibly inside the home. Crews immediately entered the home to search for a victim and found an unconscious resident inside.
The resident was removed from the home and lifesaving efforts were initiated by Adrian City and Madison Township personnel. Unfortunately, the efforts were unsuccessful and the victim was unable to be resuscitated.
The fire was extinguished and contained to the room of origin. The cause of the fire is being investigated but does not appear to be suspicious at this time.
The last unit cleared the scene at 11:02pm.
