Adrian, MI – The Lenawee County Board of Commissioners approved three separate resolutions supporting the submission of Spark Grant Applications for three County Parks by the Michigan Department of Natural Resources.

The ‘Medina Maritime Merge Project’ would build a bridge over the Bean Creek, install a kayak/canoe launch, pond grading, install an inclusive playground, renovate the restroom and pavilion, and restore family areas.

The next project, titled ‘ Gerber Hill Park Learn and Lead Project’, would add an inclusive play area, an outdoor educational area, in-ground tables and benches, baseball diamond fencing, metal roofing and electrical outlet for the pavilions, and paving the parking lots.

The third project is called the ‘Bicentennial Inclusive Community Project.’ This would help with park and trail accessibility, add inclusive activity areas for both the younger and aging populations, enhance viewing areas, and improve family gathering areas.

The resolutions of support were also acknowledged that Lenawee County is not committing to any obligations; financial or otherwise.
