Onsted, MI – A boil water advisory is in effect for all residents, businesses, and school buildings within the Village of Onsted until at least Sunday, December 25th.
In connection with the ongoing Water Improvement Project, a water line was accidentally broken by a contractor and the water system lost complete pressure. The water system pressure has since been restored. However, due to the total loss of system pressure, the system must be flushed and bacteriological samples must be collected over the next three days until results from sampling verify the water is safe to drink.
The earliest the boil advisory may be lifted is Sunday.
Onsted Village residents needing more information are asked to contact the Village Offices at (517) 467-4618 or Jack Dillon, DPW Superintendent at (517) 918-0672.
