Adrian, MI – Spreading food, fleece and funding, a Gleaner life service group provided a brighter Christmas to eight Lenawee County non-profit organizations. The group – Gleaner Life Insurance Society’s Legacy Arbor – donated 291 pounds of collected food items, 127 fleece blankets, about a dozen hats and gloves, plus checks totaling $5,000.
This service group provided 100 fleece blankets to ProMedica Provincial House as Christmas gifts for residents.
Fishes and Loaves food pantry in Adrian received 291 pounds of food and other essential items, plus a $500 check. Gleaner Life employees had collected specifically requested items for two weeks at their Adrian headquarters, then delivered them earlier this month.
Other donations by the Gleaner Arbor included $1,000 to Associated Charities; $1,000 to The Daily Bread of Lenawee; $1,000 to Community Action Agency for its emergency utility fund; $500 to Surviving to Thriving; $500 plus 27 blankets, hats and gloves to Share the Warmth; and $500 to Imagination Library.
