Monroe, MI – State Senator-Elect, Joe Bellino, was ceremonially sworn in by Monroe County 1st District Court Judge Jack Vitale at the County Courthouse on Monday.
After serving three terms in the Michigan House of Representatives, Bellino will continue serving the state next year in a new role. Bellino was recently elected to the State Senate seat for Michigan’s 16th District, which includes most of Monroe, Lenawee and Hillsdale counties.
His Senate term officially begins on January 1st.
In a news release sent to WLEN News, Bellino said: “I am thrilled and honored to continue serving the great people of Monroe County, along with our neighbors in Lenawee and Hillsdale counties. Thank you all for entrusting me to continue serving you, now as your state senator. I assure you I will continue to fight tooth and nail for our community.”
