Adrian, MI – In an effort to better serve the youth in our community, multiple organizations have collaborated to offer “The Activity Bus” for Adrian Public Schools students. The bus aims to offer a safe, afterschool form of transportation with multiple centrally located stops around the community to help kids get to/from activities, practices, events, and to/from the Boys & Girls Club.
The collaboration between the APS Recreation Dept., APS Fine Arts department, APS Athletic department, First Student, Boys and Girls Club of Adrian, and the City of Adrian has led to the creation of this project with a focus on connecting participation in our Rec programs with the Boys and Girls Club.
High School & Middle School students can utilize the bus after practices and meetings to get to a central location drop while elementary students can use it to return to the high school for rec practices and fine arts activities.
The route will begin with a 5pm pick up at the AHS Athletic entrance and will proceed with drop offs/pickups: Lincoln Elem, Adrian College, Prairie Elem,Michener Elem, Boys & Girls Club, Adrian Community Ed (formerly Comstock Elem), Siena Heights Univ, and back to AHS around 6:00-6:30pm (Final Drop off) for any evening activities, practices, events.
This service will begin on Monday December 12th, @ 5:00pm.
