Lansing, MI – Representative-elect Dale Zorn – current state senator who is returning to the House of Representatives next month – will serve as Republican caucus dean for 2023-24 term.

Zorn, of Onsted, was named to the position by Republican Leader-Elect Matt Hall.

The caucus dean fulfills a role in providing mentorship, leadership, and other guidance for legislative colleagues. Zorn served in the House from 2011 through 2014 before being elected to the Senate, where he has served the past eight years.

Zorn was elected to the House again in November and will represent the new 34th District – covering most of Lenawee County. The new legislative term begins in January.
