Adrian, MI – The Lenawee County Continuum of Care will be hosting an event as part of Homeless Awareness Month… and at that time they will present the Norma Dell ‘Courage to Care’ Award for 2022.
The award recognizes the efforts of an individual, couple or agency who has made extraordinary contributions toward alleviating homelessness in Lenawee County. The 2022 Norma Dell ‘Courage to Care’ award recipients are Adrian City Fire Chief Aric Massingill and Elizabeth Salerno.
Massingill has 27 years of service and has a long family history of firefighters. In the recent housing crisis that occurred in Adrian, at the Riverview Terrace Apartments, Aric was not only instrumental in the prevention of homelessness for the residents, but he was 100% hands-on…says the Continuum of Care.
Elizabeth Salerno, former Housing Help of Lenawee Executive Director, devoted her 16-year professional career at Housing Help to raising funding for, advocating for and in general serving homeless individuals in Lenawee County.
The Norma Dell ‘Courage to Care’ Award event will take place on Tuesday, November 8th at 3:30pm at the Goodwill Headquarters located on Division Street in Adrian.
