
Adrian, MI – WLEN News continues their series of stories on previewing local Lenawee County Elections today… with a look at the County Commission and District Court Judge.
There are four contested commission seats…the 1st, 5th, 6th, and 9th Districts.
- In the City of Tecumseh and Tecumseh Township, incumbent Republican David Stimpson is being challenged by Democrat Bill Swift.
- Representing the east side of the City of Adrian, Democrat Karol ‘KZ’ Bolton is being opposed by Independent Gordon Gauss.
- The West side of the City of Adrian is currently represented by Republican Terry Collins, and being challenged by Democrat Andrew Winkles.
- District 9… which includes the west side of Adrian Township, Franklin Township, Clinton Township, and Macon Township… will have a new representative, with Republican James Van Doren defeating incumbent Chris Whittenbach in the August Primaries. He will go up against Democrat Jeff DiCenzo in November.
The partial term for Lenawee County District Court Judge is also on the ballot…and the race will feature the appointed Judge Todd Morgan and challenger Ashley Hanson-Grimes.
