Adrian, MI – A sci-fi/horror cult classic will come to life at the Croswell Opera House for the next two weekends when the theater stages the musical ‘Little Shop of Horrors.’
The show — which has its roots in a 1960 film, was adapted for the stage in 1982, and is perhaps best known for its 1986 movie version — centers on a hapless floral shop assistant named Seymour who discovers that one of his plants has an insatiable appetite for blood.
The show opens Friday, July 15, and runs for two weekends. The first weekend’s performances are at 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 2:30 p.m. Sunday. The second weekend’s performances will be at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, July 21, and Friday, July 22; 2:30 and 7:30 p.m. Saturday, July 23; and 3 p.m. Sunday, July 24. The final performance is being moved to a later time slot than usual to accommodate traffic downtown for the Lenawee County Fair parade.
The Croswell, a 640-seat historic theater built in 1866, is on East Maumee Street in downtown Adrian.
