Adrian Twp., MI – A 55-year old Adrian man died as a result of injuries sustained in a two vehicle crash in Adrian Township Friday night.
The Adrian Township Police department reports that the crash occurred at around 8pm at the intersection of Howell Highway and Oakwood Drive.
Officers observed a broken utility pole, and a vehicle on top of another vehicle. The Adrian man was removed from his vehicle, where he was pinned in, and transported to ProMedica Toledo Hospital with a severe arm injury. The ATPD says that he was alert and talking during transport, but his condition took a turn for the worse at the hospital…where he would later die.
The department reports that, according to a witness, the vehicle driven by the Adrian man was struck by a second vehicle that ran the stop sign at the intersection. Drugs or alcohol are not suspected. Once the investigation is complete, a report will be sent to the Lenawee County Prosecutor’s office for review.
