
Adrian, MI – There will be a Juneteenth celebration this weekend in Lenawee County…on East Maumee Street in downtown Adrian.
The Lenawee County NAACP will host their celebration on Saturday from 2 to 9 pm. The event will feature a corn hole tournament from 4 to 8pm, kid’s activities, and live music.
Juneteenth is a federal holiday in the United States commemorating emancipation of enslaved African Americans. It is also known as: Juneteenth National Independence Day, Freedom Day, Jubilee Day, or Emancipation Day.
Lenawee County Offices, including the courts, will be closed on Monday the 20th to recognize Juneteenth.
