How is the City of Adrian Spending their APRA Funds?

Adrian, MI – Municipalities across Lenawee County have been allocated…in total…millions of dollars in American Rescue Plan Funds, and WLEN News will highlight the budgeted money for the City of Adrian.

In a document emailed to WLEN News by Administrator Greg Elliott, it showed that the Maple City budgeted just under $1 million for the 2021-22 budget…and just under $900,000 for the 2022-23 budget.

Some of the projects outlined in the 21-22 budget were a Splash Pad for $188,000, two Department of Public Works vehicles for about $144,000 each, and $90,000 towards police patrol vehicles.

APRA money budgeted for 2022-23 includes:

$212,000 for the Police Department to replace body cameras and tasers, half of the cost of a fire engine…at around $336,000, and $116,000 towards the PD patrol vehicles.

The City of Adrian’s total budgeted expenditures from the American Rescue Plan Funds totals about $1.875 million.
