Tecumseh, MI – The City of Tecumseh Utilities Department says that the sewer system recently experienced back-ups in an area of town due to wipes marked as ‘flushable.’
The number of the wipes being sold to consumers exploded during the pandemic, but they are improperly labeled as ‘flushable.’
This situation has also led to sewer backup inside a few resident’s homes.
The City of Tecumseh Utilities says that they are working diligently to combat the problem, but they are asking residents to help by discontinuing the flushing of these types of materials.
