Adrian, MI – The Adrian City Commission will take action on a trash and recycling collection contract at their meeting tonight.
The Commission opted for the following package options:
- 95 Gallon Totes Collected One Day Per Week
- Recycling Collected Bi-Weekly
- Yard Waste Collection in the spring and fall
- Biennial Bulk Collection Period
- A Compost Site Dumpster in the Off-years
The 5 year average cost to be billed annually per unit is $240.00…an increase of $120 from the old price-per-year.
If approved, it is the intent to send a one-time bill to the residents in July and then the hope is to add the cost to the summer tax bills.
The contract before the commission is from Stevens Disposal and Recycling, out of Temperance. The Adrian City Commission will meet tonight at 7pm in the Chambers building on East Maumee.
