
Lansing, MI – The Michigan State House has approved Representative Bronna Kahle’s plan to ensure county medical care facilities can continue providing crucial care to vulnerable residents.
She talked to WLEN News about the importance of these facilities…
Kahle’s plan extends a sunset on a program that reimburses county medical care facilities that offer care to many Medicaid patients. This would allow counties to continue to pay their lower ‘maintenance of effort’ rate. If the sunset isn’t extended, she said it could force some facilities to close.
