Two Vehicle Crash Near Wauseon Results in Multiple Fatalities

Wauseon, OH – The Toledo Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating a fatal crash on County Road 14 at County Road H in Fulton County’s Clinton Township. The crash occurred on Saturday at approximately 11:48 p.m.

A Jeep Wrangler driven by a 21-year-old man from Delta, Ohio was eastbound on County Road H. A BMW 5 series driven by a 28-year-old woman from Wauseon, Ohio was southbound on County Road 14. OSHP reports that the driver of the Jeep failed to yield the right of way, and struck the BMW.

Multiple injuries were reported on the scene…with several of them identified as ‘serious’.

Two minor children from the BMW were taken by air ambulance to St. Vincent’s Medical Center for serious injuries. Two passengers were pronounced dead at the scene…. a 25-year-old and a minor child. The two children flown to St. Vincent’s Medical Center died on Sunday.

Not all safety belts were being used at the time of the crash. The Ohio State Highway Patrol was assisted on scene by the Fulton County Sheriff’s Office, Morenci, Michigan Fire Department, and Wauseon Fire Department. The crash remains under investigation.

UPDATE 3/29 11:30am: The driver of the BMW, succumbed to their injuries on March 28th.
