Adrian, MI – A practicing art therapist will offer a class this Saturday at the Adrian Center for the Arts that will help people understand how the creative process can be impact in their lives.

The classes, ‘The Ties that Bind,’ were conceived after evaluating the lingering effects of the Pandemic of the past two years and hearing from ACA students how art helped them navigate the untested waters of shutdowns, quarantines, and masking.

Hope Dangler, who holds a master’s degree in counseling and is a clinical therapist at Harbor in Toledo, will conduct the sessions. Dangler, who specializes in addictions at Harbor, is trained in art therapy and uses it heavily in her practice.

She will use drawing and painting with students to examine how isolation experienced during the Pandemic affected emotions. Her art therapy techniques will show how people were impacted and persevered.

Dangler will offer the same class geared toward youth students in April. To register visit adriancenterforthearts.org/classes.
