Tipton, MI – Hidden Lake Gardens, near Tipton, will be hosting an event centered around the beauty and vital functions of tree bark.
When the gardens go dormant for the winter, bark becomes eye-catching and apparent. Textures, colors, and patterns of winter bark now stand out and distinguish one species from another.
Bark, or cork, on trees and shrubs does more than just look gorgeous; it performs vital functions for the sedentary tree or shrub which must continually adapt to its surrounding environment throughout its entire life.
There will be a guided walk through Hidden Lake Gardens, which will take place the afternoon of Saturday, March 26th.
There is a cost associated, so contact HLG for more information.
