Sand Creek, MI – Sand Creek Highway is on the list for bridges to be repaired this year, according to information released by the Michigan Department of Transportation.
MDOT is utilizing an initiative to bundle bridge projects together to make them more cost-effective.
They expect bridge bundling, which covers several bridge locations under one contract, to streamline coordination and permitting, increase economies of scale, and improve bridge conditions throughout the state.
There are 19 bridges a part of the bundle this year. The project at Sand Creek Highway is scheduled to start August 15th, and take 90 days to complete.
Other area projects include Squawfield Road in Hillsdale County and Jackson County’s East Washington Street.
