Erie Twp., Monroe County – A man’s body was discovered in a Monroe County marsh, and the Sheriff’s Office is investigating the death in Erie Township.
On Monday, the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office and Erie Township Police Department was dispatched to Bay Creek Road north of Summit Street after receiving a report of a deceased adult male located in the marsh.
The victim was identified as Charles Andrew Hayes, a 43-year-old Toledo man. He was transported to the Wayne County Medical Examiner’s Office for an autopsy. The investigation is ongoing and detectives are actively investigating.
