Adrian, MI – One Lenawee has announced the creation of a new organization under their umbrella…Housing Lenawee.
The purpose of Housing Lenawee is to establish a county-wide, holistic approach to housing by partnering with local governments, developers, building contractors, realtors, and non-profits in order to improve existing housing and create new housing at all levels.
The organization has several initial action steps, including:
- Conducting a county-wide housing study to identify existing conditions, discover what type of housing needs to be constructed and where it should be built
- Hire and employ a county-wide Housing Coordinator, whose sole purpose is to work with local governments, developers, builders, realtors, businesses and non-profits to address the housing challenges in Lenawee County
