Lenawee County, MI – The public is invited to Goodwill Industries of Southeastern Michigan’s groundbreaking ceremony for renovations to the Workforce Development wing on February 11th at 11 am.
These upgrades will include a new covered, accessible entrance for those participating in programs, allowing individuals to disembark or board buses, vans and cars with overhead protection from weather. For those services taking place within the facility, an upgraded activity room with all new furniture and equipment in order to better reach their goals.
Some individuals have goals that pertain to cooking and being able to do so independently, so the renovation of an existing kitchen will allow these goals to be achieved using all new appliances and layout. Finally, part of this project will be to resurface the front parking lot and add a few offices to the space for staffing.
These renovations will be completed by Krieghoff-Lenawee, per the approval of our Board of Directors, and are expected to be completed in May.
