Blissfield Twp., MI – Today we conclude our mini-series on the proposed changes to MIOSHA rules that have been questioned after a fatality on a farm in Blissfield back in 2019.

Barb Eisenmann’s husband, Kieth, fell off a barn roof that he was repairing…and died.

The current requirements of the Michigan Occupational Safety and Health Administration make the family farm file information about the accident within a certain time frame…and if they don’t…fines can be incurred.

The farm, in Blissfield Township, was hit with fines totaling over 10 thousand dollars. Michigan State Representative Bronna Kahle proposed changes to the rules…and a version of the document recently passed through the state Senate.

Barb thanked Kahle, and her office, for the work that she has done…

Barb then looked forward into the future…

The approved changes must now be voted on by the House…and then signed by Governor Whitmer for them to be implemented.
