New Congressional Map Approved by Redistricting Commission Makes Changes to Lenawee's District

Lansing, MI (AP) – Michigan’s new redistricting commission has approved congressional and legislative maps.

In landmark votes Tuesday, the panel created by a voter-approved constitutional amendment passed the plans that will last a decade, barring likely court challenges.

The state is losing a congressional seat following the 2020 census. Voters in 2018 turned the process over to the independent commission.

This is the map of the congressional districts for the State of Michigan that the Michigan Independent Citizens Redistricting Commission approved earlier this week.

This is the current map of Michigan’s 7th congressional district, which includes Lenawee County.
