Cambridge Twp., Lenawee County – A recent structure fire in Cambridge Township resulted in a fatality. The Cambridge Township Fire Department reports on their social media that they were called out to a structure fire at 3:03am on December 22nd on Brooks Hwy after a 911 call reported smoke and flames showing.
The Cambridge Township Fire Department arrived and found 70% of the structure fully involved. Personnel made attacks from 3 sides of the structure and quickly had the fire under control. The fire department was told of a person inside the home and access cuts were made on two sides of the building for search and recovery.
The Cambridge Fire Department was on the scene for four hours and was assisted by the Addison, Sand Lake, Adrian Township fire departments, the Michigan State Fire Marshall, the Lenawee County MEI and Lenawee County Sheriff’s Office. No firefighters were injured.
