Madison Twp., MI – A 52-year-old woman died as a result of injuries sustained in a car versus pedestrian crash on US-223 near Treat Street Monday night.
From evidence on scene, it was determined that a red Chevy Equinox driven by a 67-year-old male from Adrian was driving eastbound on US 223 Highway at around 6:45pm.
The vehicle struck the pedestrian walking in the roadway. They were pronounced dead on scene. The driver of the Chevy suffered no injuries as a result of the crash and no other vehicles were involved. At this time, it is unclear whether excessive speeds or intoxicating substances were a factor in the crash.
