Hudson, MI – Interim Hudson City Manager, Charles Weir has been voted-in as the full-time City Manager.

After discovering large deficits in the Utilities Fund, the treasurer was fired and the City Manager was placed on leave this spring. Weir was appointed as interim shortly after…and he also continued to be Hudson’s Police Chief.

Weir has navigated the City into a direction towards financial stability since then…although they are not ‘out of the woods yet.’

Council members Pam Ely, Rick Moreno, Carl Sword, Darlene VandeZande, and Mayor Carmel Camp voted ‘yes’…while Council members Lee Ann Minton and Lee Daugherty voted ‘no.’

For Charles Wier to officially become the next City Manager in Hudson, he must negotiate and sign a contract with the City.
