Franklin Twp., MI – A pedestrian sustained life-threatening injuries after being struck by a pickup truck on M-52, near M-50, early Wednesday morning.
At around 6:50am, troopers from the Michigan State Police Monroe Post responded to the crash in Franklin Township.
From evidence at the scene and witness statements, the following sequence of events were determined: a GMC pickup truck, occupied by one person, was traveling southbound on M-52. A lone pedestrian had been walking in the lanes of travel and was struck by the pickup truck.
The pedestrian sustained life-threatening injuries and was transported to ProMedica Charles and Virginia Hickman Hospital. The driver of the pickup is fully cooperating with the investigation, which remains ongoing.
