Riga Twp., MI – A two-vehicle crash at the intersection of Silberhorn Highway and Mulberry Road resulted in a fatality late this afternoon.
The initial report from the Lenawee County Sheriff’s Office said that a passenger vehicle was traveling westbound on Mulberry Road, and ran the stop sign at the intersection.
A full size pickup truck was southbound on Silberhorn Highway, and struck the Cruise on the passenger side door…resulting in the passenger’s death.
The driver of the truck sustained minor injuries. The driver of the Cruise sustained injuries, and was transported to a Toledo Hospital for treatment.
The crash is under investigation. Riga, Blissfield, Madison, and Palmyra Township Fire Departments assisted on scene… along with the Lenawee County Sheriff’s Office and the Medical Examiner’s Office.
Information on the individuals has not yet been released by the Lenawee County Sheriff’s Office.
