Monroe, MI – A 30-year-old Monroe man has died from his injuries sustained in a motorcycle crash early Saturday morning.
Sheriff Troy Goodnough previously reported the single motorcycle serious injury traffic crash that occurred on Newport Road, west of Swan Creek, in Berlin Township on Saturday, September 4th at 12:08 a.m.
The operator of the 1994 Harley Davidson Motorcycle has been identified as Jonathan Robert Collins of Monroe. He passed away due to the extent of injuries he sustained in the crash.
It remains unknown whether excessive speed and/or intoxicating substances were a factor in the crash.
The crash remains under investigation by the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office. Anyone with information regarding the crash is asked to call (734) 240-7541.
