Monroe, MI – Monroe County Sheriff Troy Goodnough has announced the passing of Mounted Division horse, Hank.
He was an 18-year-old Percheron that was on patrol at the Monroe County Fair August 2nd, when he became ill. His owner, Mounted Division Reserve Deputy Mike Humphries, transported Hank to Michigan State University for treatment.
Following surgery and related complications, Hank succumbed to his illness.
