Monroe, MI – A boat crash in Monroe County resulted in the death of a Fire Department Lieutenant.
Sheriff Troy Goodnough reported that the crash occurred Sunday on Laplaisance Creek in Monroe County.
The body of the boater that was reported missing, was recovered a short distance from the site of the crash.
The boater was identified as Francis “Frank” Brown III of Monroe. He was a member of the Monroe Township Fire Department for 11 years and held the rank of lieutenant.
