Adrian, MI – The case against a man arrested and charged with the murder of Jessica Fox, from Adrian, is continuing in Lenawee County Court.
A preliminary examination was conducted for 33-year-old Christopher Maurer on July 12th, and the Public Defender assigned to the cases was granted a second exam to allow additional time for discovery. It was granted by Lenawee County District Court Judge Jonathan Poer.
Additionally, the probable cause conference has been scheduled for 9am on August 2nd. The conference will determine if the case goes to trial.
Fox was last seen alive in March, and her body was discovered in the River Raisin, near Tecumseh, in April. Maurer was arrested and charged with her murder in late June.
