
Adrian, MI – A Lenawee County dump truck hit a power line in a field used to off-load branches and brush, caught fire, and caused over 1,400 Consumers Energy customers to lose power for around an hour on Wednesday.
City of Adrian Fire Chief Aric Massingill spoke with WLEN News on scene…saying that they could not even fight the fire until Consumers Energy came down to ‘uncharge’ the lines…
Lenawee County Deputy Drain Commissioner, Ed Scheffler, talked to WLEN News about what happens on the County side of things after the flames were extinguished…
Scheffler said that the driver of the dump truck had to react quickly to the situation…
It is unsure at this time if insurance will cover the cost of the fire.
