Jackson, MI – Jackson continues to be Michigan’s clean energy capital after the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency announced it has more ENERGY STAR-certified buildings than any small city in the nation.
The ranking shows Jackson’s commitment to providing building owners and managers with the technical guidance, best practices, and training they need to make their buildings more energy efficient, save money, and reduce carbon emissions.
The EPA announced that it gave ENERGY STAR certifications to 50 buildings in Jackson last year, more than any other community of its size across the country.
This is the second consecutive year Jackson has topped the ranking for small cities.
