Morenci, MI – Interested candidates in the City Morenci have turned in their documentation to run for Council and Mayor in their 2021 election.
Incumbent Mayor Sean Seger was the only person who filed for the seat. Sandra Emmons, Kandice Jarrell, Dave Lonis, Chipper Connin, Larry Sines, Jennifer O’Brien, and Ron Apger returned petitions for a 4 year term on the Morenci City Council.
Diane Molitierno is running for the 2-year term on Council.
The City will hold a primary election in August, due to the number of people running for Council.
Roland Parrill and Lonnie Vanderpool showed up 20 minutes past the deadline, and cannot file for office… per state law.
