Adrian, MI – Adrian’s Rio Doyle took a step closer to the winner’s circle on NBC’s ‘The Voice’ Monday night.
The 16 year old Tecumseh High School student bested Carolina Rial in the last segment of the night’s Battle Round.
Both singers were tutored by John Legend and guest coach Brandy. They shared a duet, after which judge Legend was forced to choose just one to continue on his team.
He chose Rio! She will now advance to the new Knockout Round next week, where she will be paired in a duet without the chance to rehearse with her partner.
