
Lenawee County, MI – On March 30th, investigators from the Region of Irish Hills Narcotics Office (RHINO) assisted the Michigan Department of Corrections with Operation Nighthawk while conducting compliance checks on addresses of parolees in Lenawee County.
Multiple offenders were located who were in possession of marijuana and narcotics. One offender was in possession of crack cocaine and trafficking paraphernalia. Approximately $1,000 in cash was forfeited and charges are pending against that offender.
In addition, MDOC/RHINO seized a 12 gauge shotgun, an AK-47 style 7.62 x 39 rifle with multiple magazines including a 75 round drum, an AR-style .22 CR with multiple magazines, a Glock 9mm pistol with a 31, 40 and 50 round drum magazine, a Sig Sauer 9 mm pistol with 2 magazines, 2 simulated suppressors and over 1,000 rounds of various pistol, shotgun and rifle ammunition from a different offender. Also located were marijuana, marijuana extracts and $4,000 in cash which was forfeited. Additional charges are pending.
One offender was lodged at the Lenawee County Jail.
The MSP-Monroe Post/Adrian Detachment, MSP K9-14 and the MSP Emergency Support Team assisted RHINO at the scene.
