Long Time Farmer and Businessman, Donald Dickerson, Passes at 82

Britton, MI – A long time area farmer and businessman, 82 year old Donald Dickerson of Britton has passed away on March 19th. Don graduated from the Michigan State University Short Course in 1960; received the FFA American Farmer Degree; was a member of the Lenawee FFA Alumni and was an FFA Lifetime member.

In 1972, Dickerson opened the H & R Block office Tecumseh, later acquiring the Dundee and Manchester offices. He was still preparing taxes up to his death. He served on the Lenawee County Bowling Association board and bowled in the American Bowling Congress Tournaments for over 25 years. Dickerson also was a member of the Adrian Breakfast Lions Club and raised six dogs for the Leader Dogs for the Blind program.

Cremation has taken place and burial will be private. Donations can be made to the organ fund at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Palmyra; to the Adrian Breakfast Lions Club; or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
