Adrian, MI – It only took a few words to convince John Legend that Rio Doyle was worthy of being on his team for the singing competition show, ‘The Voice.’

The 16 year old, who lives in Adrian, pulled at Legend’s heart-strings… and the heart-strings of viewers from Lenawee County… in the blind auditions on the show Monday night.

The four-time Emmy Award-winning musical competition series has four stages of competition: the first begins with the Blind Auditions, then the Battle Rounds, Knockouts and, finally, the Live Performance Shows.

During the Blind Auditions, the decisions from the musician coaches are based solely on voice and not looks. The coaches hear the artists perform but they don’t get to see them, thanks to rotating chairs. If a coach is impressed by the artist’s voice, that coach pushes a button to select the artist for their team.

Rio Doyle will be live on View Point this Saturday at 11am… so tune in!
