Jackson, MI – American 1 Credit Union has announced their 2021 Scholarship Program applications are available, and ten high school seniors will each receive a $1,000 scholarship to further their education.
This year surpasses the 200th scholarship awarded since the program began in 2004. After awarding the 2021 graduating seniors, American 1 will have given 208 scholarships resulting in $208,000 total.
To apply, the student applicant must meet the following criteria:
- Resides in Calhoun, Hillsdale, Jackson, Lenawee, Monroe, Washtenaw, or Wayne County
- Current senior in high school
- Looking to further their education after they graduate
- Students must write an essay on how further education will improve their personal life and their community.
