Adrian, MI – For the first time in over 25 years, the Kiwanis Club of Adrian will not host the 27th Annual Radio Auction fundraiser due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The fundraiser was originally scheduled to air on 103.9fm WLEN Saturday, February 13th.

Club President Sara Herriman noted: “We are so grateful for the incredible support over the years from our loyal donors and all who make purchases during our annual Radio Auction. The pandemic has forced us to make the difficult decision to skip this year’s event. However, we’d love it if community members who have supported us in the past would ‘pay it forward’ by making a gift to their favorite local nonprofit. Our Club continues to be committed to doing all we can to support our community – and we look forward to the 2022 Kiwanis Club of Adrian Radio Auction!”

Thanks to the support of area businesses and loyal listeners, over $20,000 was raised during the 2020 Radio Auction. In previous years, proceeds support the Kiwanis Club of Adrian’s grants process – funding programs within Adrian area nonprofit organizations that align with the Club’s Mission of encouraging economic development, supporting educational development for young children, and creating and supporting recreational opportunities for the Adrian community.
