Medina Twp., MI – The Lenawee County Sheriff’s Office has identified the husband and wife found shot dead in their home on Christmas Eve.
The deceased 59 year old male has been identified as John Dennis Vanhavel and the deceased 71 year old female has been identified as Deborah K Vanhavel. The investigation is continuing, and according to Detectives the shooting is believed to be an isolated incident.
Investigators reported that the bodies were found by a relative of the family who had arrived at the house on Lime Creek Road in Medina Township for a planned holiday get-together.
Investigators also determined that there was a history of domestic violence at the residence.
