Federal Funding for Broadband Coming to Lenawee County

Adrian, MI – The Michigan Economic Development Corporation has announced that the State of Michigan will receive over $362 million in federal funding over the next 10 years to expand broadband access to nearly 250,000 sites statewide.

The funding is being awarded through the Federal Communications Commission Rural Digital Opportunity Fund Phase 1 auction.

There were two winning bidders in Lenawee County: Mercury Wireless, Incorporated… and NRTC Phase One RDOF Consortium.

There will be over 5,400 locations impacted in Lenawee, and the total support dollars will eclipse $7 million.
