Flags at Lenawee County Buildings to Fly at Half-Staff Wednesday to Honor Fallen Firefighter

Blissfield Twp., MI – The visitation and funeral services for fallen Blissfield Township Fire Captain Joseph Gallo will take place Wednesday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 1:15 p.m. respectively.

Both the funeral and visitation will be at the Blissfield Baptist Church. Following the religious service, a procession will travel to the Pleasant View Cemetery in Blissfield, where interment of Captain Gallo will take place with full honors.

By direction of the Lenawee County Board of Commissioners Chairperson David Stimpson, flags at all county buildings will be flown at half-staff tomorrow to honor Gallo.

Joe was a Captain at the Blissfield Township Fire Department and a Firefighter/EMT at the Madison Township Fire Department. Captain Gallo succumbed to injuries sustained during a motor vehicle crash while responding to a structure fire.
