COVID-19 Exposure Sends Madison Schools Administration into Quarantine; District Moving to Remote Learning

Madison Twp., MI – The Madison School District will move to remote learning after being notified Thursday that the entire administrative team will be required to quarantine due to exposure to an individual who tested positive for COVID-19.

In a letter to the Madison Schools Community, Superintendent Nick Steinmetz said that students will be moving to remote learning starting this Friday, October 22nd through Monday, November 2nd.

Students will be able to return to in-person instruction on November 3rd.

No teaching staff or students were traced as close contacts.

Madison Tech Center Buses will continue to provide transportation at the normal departure times.

Families may need to come to their student’s building to pick up any educational material or devices they have left in the building.

All student activities, such as sport practices and events, at Madison Schools will continue as scheduled with social distancing and other COVID-19 protocols in place.
