Sand Creek Community Schools Reports One COVID-19 Case

Sand Creek, MI – Nearly 50 Sand Creek students, and one teacher, are in quarantine until October 23rd after the district was informed that one High School Student has tested positive for COVID-19.

Superintendent Steve Laundra, in a statement published on the Sand Creek Community Schools website Monday, said that 49 students and one teacher were considered to have been in ‘close contact’ with the COVID-19 positive student.

None of the students, or the teacher, can return to school until October 23rd, even if they test negative before then.

Also, Sand Creek’s Fall Homecoming Week has been postponed to a week, with the new date to be determined after October 23rd. Fall homecoming has also been postponed.
